When should you go to the emergency room?

There are certain circumstances under which you should go immediately to the emergency room and not wait for your primary care physician or go to urgent care. If you suspect that any of the following conditions may be occurring, go to the emergency room right away!
  • Serious head, neck or back injury
  • Pregnancy related conditions including abdominal pain or vaginal bleeding
  • Heart attack or chest pain
  • Stroke
  • Excessive bleeding
  • Inhaled smoke or poisonous fumes
  • Consumed a toxic substance or overdosed on a medication or drug
  • Are having seizures
  • Suffered a serious burn
  • Had a severe allergic reaction and are having trouble breathing, swelling, especially of face or throat, or hives
  • Are having suicidal thoughts

Extended Hours

City Med Pharmacy has extended hours.

The City Med Pharmacy at Orillia City has extended hours for its family medicine and urgent care patients. Unlike a typical physician’s office, we are open from Monday to Friday 9:00 am to 6:00 pm, Saturday and Sunday 9:00 am to 3:00 pm. Our pharmacy offers same-day appointments, walk-ins and online check-in for services such as strep throat, minor lacerations, flu symptoms and more.
